What we collect
- Account data: email address, username and a salted password hash (scrypt), so you can log in and manage listings.
- Votes: the Minecraft username you enter, the time, and a keyed one-way hash of your IP address. The hash only lets us apply the one-vote-per-day limit; we do not store your IP address in the vote record. Your username and IP address are sent to the server you vote for through Votifier, because that is how the server gives you your reward.
- Reviews and reports: what you write, with your username.
- Server listings: the details owners submit, and the public status information (MOTD, version, player counts) that any Minecraft client can see.
- Technical logs: our web server may keep request logs (IP address, page, time) for up to 14 days for security.
Cookies
We use only essential cookies: a session cookie when you log in, and a random token that protects forms from cross-site attacks. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies, so there is no cookie banner.
Why we use it (legal bases)
To provide the service you asked for (contract), to keep the site secure and fair (legitimate interests), and to meet legal obligations.
Sharing
We do not sell personal data. Votes are shared with the server you voted for as described above. Hosting providers process data on our behalf.
Retention
Votes are kept for 13 months for ranking history, then deleted. Accounts are kept until you ask us to delete them.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, export or delete your data, or object to processing, by emailing support@minecraftranking.com. If you are in the EU/UK you can also complain to your data-protection authority; California residents have the rights given by the CCPA/CPRA. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
