The AfterHours SMP at a glance

The AfterHours SMP is a crossplay, semi-anarchy Minecraft server designed around nation warfare and permanent progression. It runs on Java Edition with a focus on SMP-style play, featuring three warring nations and a Nomad option for players who want pure solo risk. Core game modes include cross-play, PvP, SMP, and Towny-inspired elements within a war-driven setting. The server supports the Java platform at version 1.21.11 and provides a Bedrock cross-play path as well.

Players log in and are immediately drafted into the ongoing conflict, with no land claims, no staff rollbacks, and no map resets. What you build, steal, and betray stays permanently, shaping the evolving map and power balance. The server emphasizes competitive nation dynamics, weekly events like contests and wars, and the gathering of high-tier loot through controlled zones, banners, and bounty systems.

Designed for players who want a persistent, competitive sandbox with a strategic layer, The AfterHours SMP suits PvP-minded builders and adventurers who enjoy faction-like play and continuous progression without resets. It appeals to those who like tight-knit cooperation within a faction, as well as individuals who prefer the Nomad path for solo risk in a harsh, openly contested world. The environment is English-speaking and United States-based, and it supports both Java and Bedrock clients through a shared crossplay setup. Joining is straightforward and supported by a dedicated website and community on Discord. The join address is theafterhourssmp.snownode.cc.

In the server's own words

PICK A SIDE. CLAIM A MAP. FIGHT A WAR THAT NEVER ENDS.

After Hours is a crossplay, semi-anarchy SMP carved between 3 warring nations - and the moment you log in, you're drafted. No land claims, no staff rollbacks, no map resets. What you build, steal, and betray is permanent.

---------------------------------

THE THREE NATIONS - CHOOSE YOUR ALLEGIANCE:

THE CRIMSON ORDER - Strength & Force. Extra swing damage, berserk buffs at low health, and auto-cooking mob drops.

THE AZURE PACT - Defense & Fortress. Permanent fire/lava immunity, team Resistance buffs, and emergency shields.

THE VERDANT SWARM - Mobility & Speed. Zero fall/elytra damage, team Speed buffs, and quick-escape shields.

THE NOMAD - Walk Alone. No perks, no team, no protection. Pure freedom and pure risk.

Includes a 2-hour free trial when you pledge, one free nation switch, and balance locks to keep recruitment fair.

---------------------------------

WARFARE & KEY FEATURES:

CONTESTED ZONES: 10,000 blocks carved into 4 zones. Buffs apply at home; center zone is pure raw skill.

WEEKLY WAR RACES: Top-kill nations win server-wide Regeneration buffs; the weakest nation gets cursed.

SUPPLY DROPS: High-tier loot drops every 4 hours in the Contested Zone - but opening a chest alerts the whole server.

WAR BANNERS: Plant relics for 50-block team buffs (Haste, Speed, Night Vision) or raid and steal enemy banners.

BOUNTIES & PROX VOICE: Place bounties on enemies, plot in private /nc chat, and use proximity voice chat in-game.
