The Sandlot Minecraft server

The Sandlot is a whitelisted, family-friendly Minecraft community focused on Java Edition. It offers several game modes designed for a range of play styles, including a Normal Survival world that stays 100% vanilla in spirit (no spawned items, players gather everything themselves), an Easy-difficulty world with a Jobs system and a Shopping Mall, a Creative world for building, and PvP experiences through arenas and Hunger Games-style play. The server’s own emphasis on a safe, respectful environment is reflected in its strict chat filtering and clear guidelines for behavior.

Players on The Sandlot join to play in a moderated, kid-friendly setting where access is controlled. Since it is whitelisted, prospective players must request access and be approved by staff, with applications reviewed against multiple Minecraft ban databases to prevent abusive behavior. This structure supports the server’s goal of providing a place for parents, family members, and younger players to enjoy Minecraft with reduced exposure to profanity and mature content.

The Sandlot is based in the United States and is described as a long-running server, having served families since December 2011. It supports Java Edition and maintains a website where players register their Minecraft name and apply for whitelist access, then connect when approved. For those looking to experience safety-forward, kid-focused Minecraft gameplay, The Sandlot presents an organized community with clear rules and dedicated game modes.

To join, players should use the official join process through its website to get whitelisted, then connect using the server address server.sandlotminecraft.com. Its website houses the whitelisting workflow and rules, while its forums and store provide additional context and updates about the community.
