NearVanilla at a glance

NearVanilla is a Java Edition Minecraft server focused on a mature, community-driven survival experience. It emphasizes keeping the vanilla feel while offering light, purpose-built plugins for grief prevention and administration. The server runs Survival and Vanilla-style gameplay, and its stated goal is to provide a dedicated multiplayer experience with a emphasis on a smooth, authentic feel rather than heavy modding or min-maxed PvP.

The server coordinates through a dedicated Discord and an admin team to help manage the community and address issues, aiming for a cooperative environment where players make friends and collaborate on projects.

The server serves an international audience and is listed for Java Edition players. It is associated with a French region and can be joined by connecting to play.nearvanilla.com. Prospective players can explore its community guidelines and apply through its website.”

In the server's own words

A community driven, 18+ survival multiplayer experience. Oftentimes the multiplayer experience can negatively impact the vanilla minecraft experience, or vice versa. Therefore, the only plugins we have aid grief prevention, administration, and those that enhance the vanilla multiplayer experience. With a dedicated discord and an admin team, we’re sure that you’ll enjoy a great multiplayer experience on our server without issue. With the game difficulty set to hard, and PVP enabled (although only used for consensual purposes) you’ll for sure need to make a friend or two to keep the zombies at bay!
