Simple SMP Minecraft server

Simple SMP is a Java Edition Minecraft server that blends vanilla survival with a light touch of minigames and PvP elements. Its core focus is a smooth, almost pure vanilla experience, supported by a handful of carefully chosen plugins to keep performance high and the gameplay uncluttered. The server emphasizes a low-friction environment where players can explore, survive, and interact in a straightforward way, with no world border to limit exploration and no land claiming or grief prevention to get in the way of creativity.

Players come to Simple SMP to shape the world themselves—whether that means building, adventuring, or testing strategies in a freely open landscape. The survival aspect remains central, but the presence of PvP and minigames offers quick, action-packed diversions for those who want a break from vanilla survival without stepping away from the server’s simple, cohesive vibe. The result is a community-oriented space that rewards cool-headed cooperation and competitive play alike, all within a framework that avoids heavy-handed administration.

The server runs on custom SimpleXT software and targets a visibility range that supports up to 32 chunks in view distance, delivering consistent performance across players. It suits players who value a long-running, enduring world with minimal rules and room to write their own stories. Simple SMP has a long-standing history, having been in operation for eight years, and it remains a staple option for Java Edition players in the United Kingdom. To join, use its join address, and then connect through its Java Edition client on version 26.3; its website hosts the server’s information and its Discord community for chat and updates.
