VanillaSMP Minecraft server

VanillaSMP is a Java Edition Minecraft server that aims for a true vanilla experience. It runs on the standard minecraft-server.jar with no datapacks or plugins, offering a harsh, unmodified survival world alongside a built-in economy and PvP elements. The server focuses on the core Minecraft experience—no teleport commands, no sethome, and no added gameplay modifiers—while still letting players trade and interact in a community-driven economy.

Players here step into a straightforward Survival environment, where they mine, craft, build, and compete in a balanced world. The server emphasizes independent problem-solving and social dynamics, inviting players to navigate its quirks and challenges as they shape their own stories. Most activity centers on survival play, base-building, and interactions within an economy that players manage together.

VanillaSMP is well-suited for players seeking a barebones, real-vanilla feel and a stable long-running world. It targets Java Edition players and lists the current version as 26.3, ensuring compatibility with recent vanilla behavior. Joining is simple and direct: its IP address is vanillasmp.net, and players can connect through their Java Edition client, add the server under Multiplayer, and begin playing right away. The server is described as self-hosted on a purpose-built machine, with a no-nonsense approach to vanilla gameplay that appeals to technical Minecrafters and purists alike.
