Geofrontier at a glance

Geofrontier is a Java Edition Minecraft server focused on geopolitical survival and city-building. It blends towny governance with large-scale Earth-inspired warfare, naval expansion, and factory-driven industry. Seasons structure drives the world’s evolution, with fresh opportunities at each start and a closing arc when the story of the world has unfolded.

Players on Geofrontier build towns, fleets, factories, and mining camps, then engage in diplomacy, wars, and economic competition. The server emphasizes strategic warfare, coordinated battles, and roleplay-friendly diplomacy, all within a living economy where trade, markets, and conflicts shape outcomes. Movecraft-enabled naval fleets and custom systems support nuanced play across multiple playstyles.

The server caters to builders, PvPers, and roleplayers alike, offering weekly town rankings, build competitions, and a Dynmap for city visualization. It supports cross-play between Java and Bedrock platforms and centers on Nations, Warfare & Strategy, with Nation governments, war justifications, and treaty diplomacy managed through its systems. Geofrontier runs on Java Edition, with version support around 1.21.x, and operates from the United States. It maintains an active Discord community and provides its join address for Java players as part of the official joining process.

Its join address is java.geofrontier.net:25648.

In the server's own words

Europe stands crowded. Asia stirs. North Africa watches the horizon.

Will your nation discover it — or be forgotten in history?

GeoFrontier runs in Seasons. Each season begins with fresh opportunity and ends when the world’s story has fully unfolded. Earth-Based Geopolitics Naval Expansion – Build fleets with Movecraft

Nations, Warfare & Strategy Towny Governments – Form nations, crown kings, draft laws, and justify wars through diplomacy. Regulated Warfare – Wars can happen anytime, but battle times are coordinated so both sides show up. Victory is earned War-Only Destruction – Griefing exists only during war. Outside conflict, your cities are safe. Factories & Industry – Manufacture muskets, melee weapons, siege weapons, or build passive-income industries to fund expansion. ‎ The Nexus War System (Custom & Strategic) Destroy the Nexus – Every town hides a guarded Nexus block. Find it. Breach defenses. Eliminate it to occupy the city. Strategy > Manpower – No mindless wall-hugging hordes. Flanking, infiltration, scouting, and coordinated regiments decide wars. Army Regiments – Kings create regiments with appointed generals. Regiments earn kill points to unlock battlefield formations and combat buffs. Dynamic Treaties – Negotiate reparations, embargos, permanent or temporary territory transfers, and imprisonment using our diplomacy GUI. ‎ A Living Economy Player-Driven Markets – Inflation tracking (resets often), trade deals, merchant empires, and rival economic blocs. Server Shop Support – Builders and industrialists have stability while markets evolve. Trade or Plunder – Become a maritime trading empire… or a privateer who disrupts one. ‎ For Every Playstyle + Builders – Weekly town rankings, build competitions, and a live Dynmap showcasing your cities. + PvPers – Skill-based combat, siege mechanics, regiment bonuses, and tactical warfare. + Roleplayers – Structured diplomacy, treaties, war justifications, evolving borders, and player-written history.
