Players on Kal SMP actually explore a shared survival world, build, gather resources, and interact with other players within the SMP framework. The server offers a Discord community for coordination, events, and social connection, which helps players stay in touch outside of the game itself. The server is described as a growing community, welcoming both casual players and those seeking a bit more challenge within a vanilla-friendly survival setting. Kal SMP is tailored for players in the United States and invites players from across platforms who want a shared survival experience. There are multiple connection options currently listed, including three IPs, with a preference indicated for joining via play.kal.how as xmos.kal.how is slated for discontinuation. This makes it clear which address players should use for the best ongoing access. Its join process is straightforward: Java Edition users can connect using the specified IPs, and Bedrock users can participate through the Bedrock-compatible route via Geyser where available.
