UltraSMP at a glance

UltraSMP is a Java Edition Minecraft server that centers on public SMP gameplay with a focus on open PvP, raiding, and a heavily customized experience. Its core game modes include Anarchy, Cross-play, Economy, mcMMO, PvP, SMP, and Survival, all delivered in a semi-vanilla framework with substantial plugins and tweaks that shape its unique map and mechanics.

Players on UltraSMP engage in base-building, exploration, loot collection, and event participation. The server emphasizes a balance of competitive play and community activities, with weekend events and occasional item giveaways that add in-game rewards without mandatory pay-to-win elements. While PvP and base raids are part of the play, there are structured activities like crates via /rewards to keep progression fair for all players.

The server serves Minecraft Java Edition players and is hosted in the United States. It runs on version 1.21.11 and supports cross-play with other players on Java Edition. Joining is straightforward through its join process, which directs players to connect using the exact IP ultrasmp.net, then participate via its website or its Discord for community updates and announcements.

Overview written by MinecraftRanking from the server's public information (updated 2026-10-25), with AI assistance.

In the server's own words

We are UltraSMP, a public Minecraft SMP server with extremely custom gameplay and features, without requiring a server resource pack or any mods.

There is a heavily detailed custom map with extremely beautiful biomes, with the development team heavily customizing the plugin to make it like no other server in existence.

There is also free crates for all players with /rewards, to make it fair for all players with minimal Pay2Win.

PvP is allowed on our server and players are free to steal or raid other bases. Our server gameplay is very similar to servers that utilize the Lifesteal gimmick, however, we do not believe that the Lifesteal heart stealing feature is actually required for actual fun and growth. Furthermore, we're very similar to DonutSMP, except we are mainly focused on swords as a weapon, and as such, Crystal PvP and Maces are disabled on here.

We usually host events at weekends for in-game prizes with no risk of losing your hard-earned items. Sometimes we also organize giveaways for interesting items, such as Discord Nitro and more. There is also going to be $100 PvP tournaments every week starting in 2026.

Join us and enjoy the ultimate public SMP gamemode in a free to play semi-vanilla Minecraft environment today.
