Gabbage at a glance

Gabbage is a Minecraft Java server hosted in New Zealand that focuses on a small, community-driven Survival experience with economy and PvP elements. The server runs Vanilla-inspired gameplay with a few carefully chosen plugins to smooth the experience, such as land claims, shops, and a map view.

Players on Gabbage engage in classic survival activities—exploring, gathering resources, building, and trading—within a friendly, LGBTQ+ welcoming community. The server emphasizes a balanced mix of player interaction, from setting up shops using QuickShop to claiming land with GriefPrevention, while keeping rules focused on respectful behavior. The presence of a dedicated Discord and an active in-game community supports ongoing collaboration and socializing.

Gabbage is tailored for players who value a compact, stable economy-and-survival server over sprawling multi-world setups. It suits new players and returning fans who want a laid-back, inclusive environment with basic plugins that keep things running smoothly. The server operates on Java Edition and lists itself as version 26.2, with accessibility through its join address mc.gabbage.net and its website and Discord for community coordination.

To join, players simply connect to mc.gabbage.net using the Java Edition client and follow in-game prompts to become part of the small, friendly community. Its online presence is complemented by its website and its Discord, which provide information, updates, and a place to chat with other members.

In the server's own words

Minecraft Java server that's actually hosted in New Zealand. Any age, LGBTQ+ friendly, no whitelist

IP: mc.gabbage.net Website: https://gabbage.net/

Pretty much the same as that nostalgic server everyone used to play on when they first started. Nothing too fancy, just some basic plugins to make everything run a bit smoother.

The goal of the server is just to keep it as a nice small community, and not turn into one of those giant multi-world multi-game mode servers.

The rules basically boil down to not being a bad person.

The server is actually hosted in New Zealand, while most "New Zealand" servers are hosted in Australia. There is also no whitelist and we're open to anyone who wants to join!

As is tradition we have a pretty active discord you can join as well: https://discord.gg/DRVVYySnUv
