Pwn9 - YASMP at a glance

Pwn9 - YASMP is a Java Edition Minecraft server that blends PvP and Survival with old-style 1.8 combat mechanics. The server emphasizes open-world fighting, hiding, building underground, defending territories, and raiding others, creating a dynamic where players choose between conflict and more peaceful play in distant regions near SpawnCity. It presents a community-driven take on classic Minecraft PvP and survival gameplay, with a focus on competitive play and player-driven stories.

Players on YASMP explore a world where KDR, territory control, and shop or build bragging rights are all part of the experience. The server supports both direct combat and cooperative or solo exploration, letting players decide how aggressively they want to engage with others. The no-cheat stance is reinforced with mods to curb known exploits, and active staff help maintain a fair playing field while language moderation handles extreme cases.

Suitability and access: the server is part of the Pwn9 gaming community, which has hosted game servers for many years and operates professionally hosted environments. It targets players who enjoy PvP-centered survival with a strong sense of community, while also offering broader engagement through its other games and servers within the same network. Join via its join address listed below, and switch between Survival and Creative as needed using in-game commands or the server’s interface. The server runs on 26.2 and welcomes players from the United States, accessible through its Java edition setup. pwn9.com

Overview written by MinecraftRanking from the server's public information (updated 2026-10-25), with AI assistance.

In the server's own words

We are a fusion of PvP and Survival, with old-style (1.8) combat mechanics. It is open land of fighting, hiding, building underground, defending your territory or being a raider of other's lands.

You decide if you want to be the hated griefer or try to exist in the distant regions far away from SpawnCity living a peaceful life with a couple of friends.

What do you want to brag about? Your KDR? Best shop? Best build? Richest in the land? It's all yours for the taking.

With an outstanding overall uptime and a professional staff from Pwn9 - A gaming community specializing in game hosting for over 15 years - YASMP is truly the essence of the Minecraft experience. We've removed fluff and brought Minecraft down to its essence: PvP and community. Once you play here you'll feel like you're right at home.

Other Important Info: - We are a bit lax about language, but if you get extreme, our active moderation staff will take appropriate action. - Our server is a No Cheat server with mods to prevent many known cheats and an alert staff to find all the others. Play the game without fear of others using exploits and hacks to their advantage. - Cutting Edge, Professionally Administered, and Professionally Hosted. - Since we are a part of the pwn9 community there are other games that we support that you can join in on as well such as: Rust, Overwatch, Guildwars 2, Counter Strike: Source, Starcraft 2, Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory and more!
