It runs on version 1.12.2 and keeps a blend of game modes that includes Anarchy, Creative, Hardcore, Lifesteal, PvP, SMP, Survival, and Vanilla. The server’s description highlights a vanilla, PvP-focused environment where offhand is enabled and certain dupes exist, reflecting a commitment to a harsh, old-school Minecraft experience. The community spans English speakers with occasional Russian and German groups, and there’s an active presence on a Discord server for coordination and chat.

Citizenship of the server is rooted in France, with a sizable world and a dedicated community. Overview written by MinecraftRanking from the server's public information (updated 2026-10-25), with AI assistance.

In the server's own words

Oceanei.org is the only 1.12.2 anarchy server with the goal to be similar to 2b2t before it updated. The server has a good playerbase with ~25 new players everyday. Over 1,000 players have joined in the short 2 month period and the world size is over 100GB. The server has mainly an English speaking playerbase but sometimes has groups of Russian speakers or German speaking players online. There is no admin interference

More information The server’s anticheat is replicated from strict.2b2tpvp.net, specifically, offhand is enabled, crystal cps is 8, and burrow is enabled. There is currently an active dupe, the end portal donkey dupe, which old 2b2t australia players may recognize, other vanilla 1.12.2 dupes may work. The server was started in beta 1.7.3 so there is old terrain.

I’ve left a community made video to show the experience of the server, the spawn was not griefed then and it was filmed when the server was very new.
