The Shack Minecraft server

The Shack is a Java Edition Minecraft server that leans toward a mostly vanilla experience enhanced with RPG-style progression and macro-dungeon content. It features game modes and tags including Factions, mcMMO, PvP, RPG, SMP, Survival, and Vanilla, creating a blend of cooperative exploration and competitive play. The server runs on Minecraft version 1.20.1 and aims to stay up to date with the game’s latest releases.

Players on The Shack engage in dungeon runs and skill leveling while enjoying an area that emphasizes small, self-contained communities and focused teamwork to beat challenges. The setup combines Elitemobs and RPG-style progression with structures and dungeons, suggesting a compact, survival-minded environment where players work together or solo to tackle goals within a largely vanilla framework.

The Shack is positioned for players who prefer a straightforward Java edition experience with clear dungeon-oriented content, looser social expectations, and ongoing dungeon-based activities. It suits fans of RPG-lite mechanics, dungeon crawling, and PvP within a semi-vanilla context, all within a US-hosted environment. The server also maintains a Discord community for players who want to socialize outside the game and coordinate play sessions.

Joining The Shack is simple and direct. The server address is river-herald.gl.joinmc.link. It operates on Java Edition, currently at version 1.20.1, and players can connect using the standard Minecraft multiplayer interface. Its website houses general information and updates, while its Discord provides community interaction and announcements.
