MCMTR Minecraft server

MCMTR is a Minecraft server focused on transit simulation and exploration. Built around the MTR (Mass Transit Railway) concept, it recreates Hong Kong’s rail network with a strong emphasis on trains, stations, and routes. The server supports both Java Edition and Bedrock Edition, offering a cross‑play experience for players on different platforms. Its advertised version support spans Java 1.21.11 and the most recent Bedrock client, ensuring access for a wide range of players. Its Java address is mcmtr.mtrcrafters.net, and the project is positioned as a city‑scale transit project rather than a traditional minigame.

Players visiting MCMTR arrive to ride, navigate, and observe a detailed transit world rather than compete in combat or parkour. The gameplay centers on traveling between recreated MTR stations, exploring the map, and engaging with an in‑game economy system centered on Essencards that simulate fare payments for travel. The server map and stationary infrastructure are designed to reflect a 1:1 or near‑1:1 transit emulation, aligning with its Hong Kong‑themed premise and ongoing expansion plans.

The audience for MCMTR includes transit enthusiasts, builders, and explorers who appreciate large‑scale, geographically grounded Minecraft environments. It is hosted in the United States, and it maintains online maps and community channels (its website and its Discord) to share updates, announcements, and development progress. Joining is straightforward: players should launch Minecraft, add a server, and connect to the given address as their entry point to the transit world. The server’s scope is expanding beyond Hong Kong to include additional Asian cities and their transit systems, reflecting ongoing development and community involvement.

Its join address is mcmtr.mtrcrafters.net.
