MonkeyDonkeySMP at a glance

MonkeyDonkeySMP is a Java Edition plus Bedrock crossplay survival server that aims for old-school SMP vibes. It centers on vanilla-style gameplay in a PvP-enabled wild with a focus on authentic survival, player interaction, and community-driven play. The server runs on version 26.3 and is based in Belgium, with a cross-platform setup so both Java and Bedrock players can join the same world without separate servers.

In MonkeyDonkeySMP, players can build, explore, trade, and collaborate. There is a built-in proximity trading system that encourages barter over currency, allowing players to swap items safely. Land protection is provided by GriefPrevention, so bases stay secure while PvP remains open in the wild, preserving danger and adventure away from protected plots. Group play is supported through team-based claim access and chat tags, making it easy to coordinate with friends.

The server is described as a crossplay environment that supports Java and Bedrock players in the same world, with anti-cheat protection to keep play fair. Its Discord community is active, enabling continued discussion and planning even when not in-game. The join process is straightforward for players on Java Edition and those using Bedrock, since crossplay is a core feature. To connect, use its join address exactly once: play.monkeydonkeysmp.online. Its website and its Discord are the primary channels for community news and support, and players can expect a straightforward survival experience with a friendly, trading-focused twist.
