NomadSMP at a glance

NomadSMP is a vanilla survival server for Minecraft Java Edition that emphasizes a clean, no-mods approach. Running on Minecraft version 26.2, it supports ViaVersions so players on older versions can join, while keeping the core experience true to Minecraft’s vanilla roots. The server is categorized with PvP, SMP, and Vanilla gameplay, and it operates from the United States. A Discord community exists for the server, and the community is encouraged to connect there for updates and chat.

On NomadSMP, players dive into a plain, player-driven world where the focus is on exploration, building, and survival rather than modded features or pay-to-win perks. Proximity Voice Chat is available to improve in-game communication, and the server does not rely on teleports or teleport-based conveniences—movement remains entirely vanilla. There is a protected spawn area to help new players settle in, and an optional beginner loot system to help new arrivals start their adventures.

The server supports a mature, community-driven environment with a zero-tolerance stance on hacks and duping, while still allowing PvP and griefing as part of the risk-and-reward experience. Custom teams can form factions with unique tags and banners, encouraging friends to team up and explore together. There are no in-game currencies or pay-to-win mechanics; any cosmetic perks are limited to the Discord side.

Joining NomadSMP is straightforward for Java Edition players: direct connect to the address 172.240.11.209:25702. Its website or its Discord provide the latest announcements and contact options, while the Java edition client and version 26.2 will ensure compatibility.
