Minecart Rapid Transit Minecraft server

Minecart Rapid Transit is a Java Edition Minecraft server focused on creative city-building and transportation projects. It runs in a vanilla, freebuild environment with a strong emphasis on planning towns, MRT-style transit networks, and large-scale urban ideas. The server’s current version is 1.21.11, aligning with modern Minecraft features while keeping a classic freeform building vibe.

Players visit MRT to explore, ride custom-built networks, and collaborate on community projects. It operates as a greylisted freebuild, meaning guests can wander and experience the world, while building privileges require joining the member program. This setup supports a welcoming entry point for newcomers who want to see what the server is about before committing to an application for more hands-on building rights.

The MRT community suits creative builders who enjoy scale models, public transit infrastructure, and city planning within a Minecraft setting. It is a mainly English-speaking, Canada-based server that invites builders who want to contribute to interconnected towns and MRT lines. Builders can participate in events and contribute to shared landmarks across multiple worlds, using the server’s approach to first-come, first-serve land with some location-based restrictions. Joining is simple for Java Edition players, who should ensure their client version matches the server’s; once accepted, members can construct towns, form companies, and pursue higher ranks for additional privileges. Its website provides the official joining steps and member processes, including the application flow for building privileges and access to the MRT wiki and Disco
