Kings and Nations at a glance

Kings & Nations is a Java Edition SMP built around Towny gameplay with a strong emphasis on kingdoms, politics, and conquest. The server combines cross-play features with traditional survival and a vanilla feel, while adding nation-building mechanics and diplomacy as core play elements. It supports players across Java and Bedrock, and uses a medieval-themed, player-driven progression that centers on creating towns, forming alliances, and waging wars to influence the world.

Players step into a political landscape where becoming a ruler, defending a kingdom, trading for wealth, and expanding influence are all part of daily life. Towny tools enable players to claim land, establish towns and nations, and negotiate or rival with others as kingdoms rise and fall. The server’s stated systems – including a king’s death having real consequences and a diamond-based economy – are designed to shape a long-term, evolving world rather than a quick, one-off experience.

Its community-driven approach invites mature players who enjoy long-term worlds, player-driven narratives, and geopolitics within Minecraft. Kings & Nations positions itself as a place for builders, traders, strategists, and warriors to contribute to a living history that players help write. The server is currently self-hosted and looking toward dedicated hosting as the community grows, signaling a focus on stability and ongoing development.

Joining is straightforward: players can connect using kansmp.net, and the community maintains active channels for coordination and collaboration through its website and its Discord. With PvP, diplomacy, and survival all part of the mix, it offers a distinct twist on classic Towny play for those who want to shape a world of nations and politics.
