parole at a glance

parole is a Java EditionMinecraft prison escape server focused on economy, roleplay, and PvP within a prison world. Its core modes revolve around surviving behind bars, breaking out, and building a factional presence with gangs.

Players start as prisoners in a cell block and can work toward escape using in-game contraband, crafting tools, and currency. Chocolate serves as the prison’s currency earned through the Job Office, and players spend it with dealers to acquire contraband like timber, metal sheets, files, and duct tape to aid in escape. Guards monitor activities, enforce daily routines, and trigger lockdowns when needed, while fugitives rise to new challenges and rewards as they run from captured status.

Parole suits players who enjoy tense, strategy-driven gameplay with an emphasis on roleplay, faction building, and dynamic prisoner-guard interactions. It supports platforms and updates aligned with Java Edition, and the server emphasizes a distinctive in-game economy and gang system, with a dedicated Discord community for players to connect and coordinate sessions. Those interested can join by using mso.parole.rocks and then engage through its website or its Discord for community events, support, and shop updates, reflecting the server’s established online presence.

In the server's own words

parole is a prison escape server. You start as a prisoner in the cell block, and your goal is to break out without the guards catching you.

Work for Chocolate: Take a job at the Job Office and earn chocolate, the prison currency.

Contraband and Crafting: Spend your chocolate at the dealers on contraband like timber, sheets of metal, files and duct tape, then craft escape tools and weapons. Keep it out of sight: guards watch your hands, and contraband detectors guard the gates.

Break Out: Cut through iron bars or dig through walls where no guard can see you, and find your own way out. Your escape counts once you reach a fugitive town.

Life on the Run: As a fugitive you earn golden chocolate while the guards hunt you down.

Guards vs Prisoners: Guards enforce the daily routine, from meals and showers to lights out, when every prisoner must be back in their cell, and they call lockdowns when things get out of hand.

Gangs: Team up with other inmates, stash your loot in the gang vault and climb the gang leaderboards.
